Newcom is in the early stages of building its presence in the cybersecurity distribution. The TechnoCommercial Intern will support this expansion primarily through market and vendor research, helping the business understand what it takes to compete and build credibility in a new product category. This is a research-intensive role suited to a candidate who enjoys structured discovery work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Market & Commercial Readiness Research

• Research the commercial requirements (certifications, partnership models, pricing and stocking structures) needed to compete in the cybersecurity distribution category.
• Benchmark how distributors typically enter and scale within this category, and synthesize findings into clear recommendations.

Vendor & Brand Landscape Mapping

• Identify and map leading vendors and brands active in the category, both regionally and globally.
• Research each vendor’s partner requirements and the typical path to earning engagement and trust as a new distributor.

Research Synthesis & Stakeholder Support

• Prepare clear, executive-ready briefing materials summarizing research findings and recommended next steps.
• Maintain a structured tracker of vendor contacts, requirements, and relationship status; support early-stage outreach as relationships develop.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently in the final year of a Bachelor’s program (Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field) or pursuing an MBA.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini) to accelerate research, synthesize large documents (PDFs/reports), and structure and draft initial content.
• Diligence in validating AI-generated outputs against primary sources.
• Comfort engaging with technical material and genuine interest in the cybersecurity domain.
• Proficiency in Canva with a proven ability to prepare professional-quality presentations.
• Structured thinking with ability to break down complex problems methodically.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to synthesize complex information concisely.
• Strong stakeholder management skills — ability to work across teams, manage expectations, and drive alignment.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter mentality with intellectual curiosity and proactive problem-solving approach.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, lookups, advanced formulas).
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel charts).
• Prior internship, work experience, or project work in a relevant area.
• Basic familiarity with cybersecurity or IT security concepts and terminology.
